Life in The Hills

My photo
Beverly Hills, CA, United States
As a native Southern Californian, I am blessed to have grown up in an area that encompasses year-round beautiful weather, amazing Real Estate, great cuisine, and world influencing entertainment. Having some of the most outstanding homes in America within a 5 mile radius definitely makes my role as a Beverly Hills Realtor unique! In and out of the Golden Triangle, guiding sellers and buyers through their real estate journey, in a one of a kind neighborhood, is a fulfilling and exciting career which I am grateful to have and am happy to share with you. Selling real estate in this area of the country is not just a privilege, it's a lifestyle as well as a gift.

Fire in the Hills

A couple in the 1500 block of Viewsite Dr. in the Sunset Plaza area of the hills received a rude awakening late last night when a fire broke out in their gorgeous contemporary home. While there has not been a confirmation of the exact cause of the fire, authorities believe it started somewhere near the fireplace in between the 3rd story ceiling and the attic.

Fires in the hills can get out of hand quickly so it is no surprise a rush of firefighters were called to the scene, 83 total! As they were fighting the blaze, the ceiling collapsed and took out 6 firefighters. All of these brave heroes were pulled out from under the wreckage and rushed to Cedar's for Emergency care. As of now, 5 of the firefighters have been released and the last is sadly left in grave condition. This fighter was said to have been in full cardiac arrest at the time of departure and is currently fighting for his life.

The custom hillside property, once owned by Comedian Dane Cook, is a 3 story, 6,000 square foot dream home with some of the most amazing views the neighborhood has to offer. Thankfully, the home was not completely destroyed, but will surely be out of commission for some time until the full damages can be assessed and repaired. Hopefully the insurance company attached to the property can help this family get back to daily living ASAP!

Our thanks and prayers go out to the many Firefighters who put their life at risk every day to fight blazes such as this one. Let's keep our spirits and hopes up for the one hero still trying to make it through!
